Apologies

Apologies apologies for our shoddy attempt at blogging!! A number of factors have played a part in possibly the most uneventful blog of all time but they are quite boring and India is not so I shall tell you a little about that instead.
First stop Delhi - mental. They drive like lunatics but that is in no way confined to the capital. Needed a guide to take us to see the sights as it's too dangerous for three gormless Irish girls to manage it. Inevitably the guides will take you to places where they will receive some form of commission but for the most part this hasn't been too much of a problem.
Onto Agra and the Taj Mahal - so beautiful, but have since learned that the Sha Jahan guy who built it later cut off the hands of the people who worked on it so that they could never create another building like it. Still did the Lady Di thing on the bench though. Think some of my buring flesh might still be stuck to that bench. Nice...
Onto Jaipur - beautiful city and the highlight of our time in the North. Look it up - I'm some blogger eh?
Then Ajmer and Pushkar which is a "verrry holy place" - a pilgrimage site for Hindus. No meat, alcohol, drugs or public displays of affection are permitted. Needless to say it didn't score too high...
Took the overnight train to Mumbai (Jai Ho!) where we flew to Cochin in Kerala. Complete change of scenery and a welcome one too. Although the sight seeing was fantastic we're looking forward to some boat trips and pints now! Next stop Periyar animal reserve - Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! And then Goa - hell yeah!
Hopefully will update this again before I get back to Ireland or this whole process will have been effectively redundant :)
