The South

Check this out - two days in a row! Just enjoyed a delicious breakfast of french toast, pineapple, papaya, banana and watermelon in a very cool little cafe here in Cochin. The whole area is pretty "hip". Down with the phat funky beat you might say.
Kerala has a freely elected Communist government and it has the highest literacy rates in the country. Having been a colony of Portugal, it has a much more European feel to it and we can pronounce the street names which is always a good thing. Yesterday when we were having a bite to eat it the divine Teapot, we could hear the children in the school across the road singing "I the Lord of sea and sky..." - this should give you some indication of just how different the North and South are :) (Though seeing as we didn't post one blog from the North is not necessarily the case).
Liz and Julie tested out their fishing skills with the locals here - hopr to post some pictures of same soon :)
